Spikers Fall To Host Marquette

Mount Pleasant--The Central Michigan University volleyball dropped its final match of the Marquette University Challenge to host Marquette in three games Saturday night.
The game scores were 14-30, 24-30 and 22-30.
The Chippewa offense did not post the big numbers as it did in the previous two matches of the tournament, only connecting 31 kills to MU's 50 kills. CMU had a total match kill percentage of .170, while the Golden Eagles posted a kill percentage of .357.
Kristin Tack (Saginaw/Sr.) was the top kill producer with nine kills.
Emily Lovejoy (Traverse City/Fr.) had seven kills and seven digs.
Three of the Golden Eagles posted double figures in the kill column and the Golden Eagles tallied 18 aces for the win.
Next up, the Chippewas head to the University of Michigan Invitational (September 14-15) to take on Michigan, Virginia Tech and Montana.
