Webber Joins Sacramento Kings Training Camp

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- There are two Webbers in the Sacramento Kings Preseason Training Camp which opened today and runs through October 25.
Former Central Michigan University standout David Webber joins his All-Star brother, Chris, and 20 others trying to make the final 12-player NBA roster.
Webber, the 2001 Mid-American Conference "Player of the Year," is trying to take make it as a professional following a standout career in the Maroon and Gold.
The 6-2 guard finished his career ranked No. 3 in CMU history with 1,774 career points. He was a first team All-MAC selection in 2001 and an honorable mention pick in 2000 and 2002.
One other former Chippewa began camp today for another NBA team. Former Chippewa center Nate Huffman signed a two-year deal with the Toronto Raptors in late July.
