CMU is now 4-7-4 on the season and has a 3-5-3 record in Mid-American Conference play.
Ohio's offense awoke in the final three minutes, and the Bobcats put two late goals on the board. With the game knotted at one, OU's Christel Schiering and Abby Leopold each put one in the net after the 87th minute. Ohio's third goal came with 1:30 left to play and gave the Chippewas too little a time to respond.
Ohio set the pace as it got on the board early in the match. Rachel Najjar found the net in the fourth minute to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. Sabrina Borgquist (West Bloomfield/Sr.) answered in the 49th minute when she tickled the twine from 20 yards out on breakaway.
Kari Alexander (Midland/Jr.) saw a lot action on her end of the field. OU fired 23 shots in the game. Alexander saw 10 of them on goal, and she made seven saves.
The Chippewas return to action next weekend when they play in their final conference game of the season. CMU will host Akron on Friday, October 25, at the CMU Soccer Field. The match will begin at 3 p.m.
