Chippewas Secure No.-7 Seed In MAC Tournament

Bowling Green, Ohio--By powering a .230 hitting percentage (51-20-15) over the Falcons' .061 hitting percentage (34-26-131), the Central Michigan University volleyball team (13-19, 8-10 Mid-American) earned the No.-7 seed in the MAC tournament.
The Chippewas took down Bowling Green in three games on Saturday night. The game scores were 30-23, 30-17, and 30-21.
Kendra DeVries nailed a .524 hitting mark with a team-high 12 kills. Leslie Schroeder added 10 kills and Emily Lovejoy chipped in 11 kills in the win.
Right-side hitter Tamara Fant drilled a .438 hitting mark with eight kills.
Setter Shaleene Glombowski dished out 45 assists, averaging 15 assists per game.
Heading up the defense for CMU were Jennifer Brink with a match-high 16 digs, Susie Smith with 10 digs and Ali McCrite with 13 digs.
BGSU had nine team blocks to CMU's three.
Taylor Twite put up four block assists with one block solo.
The Falcons only senior, Kristin Gamby, had a match-high 13 kills.
CMU takes on the No. 2 seed on Tuesday, November 26. Ohio and Akron are battle for the number-two spot.
