Jones Earns Conference Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan women's basketball player Vershaun Jones (Detroit/Sr.) ended her career with honorable mention All-Mid-American Conference honors.

The 5-9 forward was the leading rebounder in the MAC all season long with a 10.4 rebounding average. She was 17th in the country among all Division I rebounders and was the only nationally-ranked player under 5-10. She nearly averaged a double-double this season with a 9.8 scoring average.

Jones ends her career at CMU third among rebounders in a season (291) and sixth in the career-rebounding annals (879). Her 186 career steals is also sixth.
