MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Cleveland State Vikings needed five games to put away the Central Michigan University Chippewas in CMU's second game of tournament play.
The Vikings got the win with scores of 22-30, 30-22, 30-27, 30-21, and 15-9.
Michelle Iafigliola accounted for a match-high 28 of CSU's 74 kills. Jamie Bouyer posted 12 kills while Emily Clark had 11. Jenna Maddocks and Alisa Hatcher were tops on the team with 14 digs each. Kelly Crain had 56 assists in the win.
Emily Lovejoy was CMU's kills leader. She posted 20 kills while fellow Chippewas Melissa Reynolds and Liz Passen tallied 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Susie Smith had 12 digs while Lovejoy posted 10. Shaleene Glombowski led the team with 51 assists.
