Chippewas Face Creighton as 11th-Seed in West.

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University men's basketball team heads to familiar territory when it plays its NCAA tournament first-round game in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Chippewas played in Salt Lake the last time they made the tourney, falling to UCLA in the first round of the 1987 tournament.
The No. 11-seeded Chippewas (24-6) are in the West bracket and drew the No. 6-seed Creighton Blue Jays. Creighton (29-4) won the Missouri Valley Conference automatic bid with its tournament victory. The Blue Jays will square off against the Chippewas on Thursday, March 20. Tipoff time will be determined soon.
The winner of the Creighton/CMU matchup will face the winner the Duke (No. 3)/Colorado State (No. 12) game on Saturday, March 22.
