Game Notes:
*Wide out Willie Hill (CMU) had his first collegiate runs. He had two carries with a long of 39.
*Quarterback Jeff Perry (CMU) threw his first career touchdown. It was a 20-yard toss to tight end Tory Humphrey in the third quarter.
*CMU running back Jerry Seymour had a breakout afternoon, running for 166 yards on 27 carries. That was the true freshman's first career 100-yard game and he also scored three touchdowns, another career first.
*The Chippewas rushed for 352 yards. They only had one 300-yard rushing game in 2002. CMU rushed for 488 yards against the Eagles in 2002. Robbie Mixon had 377 of them.
*DE Dan Bazuin collected the first sack of the season in the fourth quarter.
*OG Dean Zarafonetis made his first career start.
*Three true freshmen made their first career for New Hampshire. Aaron Brown (WR) , David Ball (WR), and Sean Lynch (TE).
*Sean Lynch (TE) of New Hampshire scored his first career TD.
*UNH quarterback Mike Granieri had a career high 75 yards rushing on 16 carries.
