ATHENS, Ohio - A beautiful flip throw-in by Erica Rohren led to Laura Gaesser's overtime winner as Central Michigan University began the Mid-American Conference season with a road victory over Ohio, 2-1.
Gaesser's goal came in the seventh minute of overtime and is her first goal of the season. Katy Boggan earned an assist along with Rohren as Boggan received Rohren's throw-in and set the ball for Gaesser to blast past OU goalkeeper Melissa Parra.

"This win is a great way for us to begin the conference season especially with it being on the road," head coach Tony DiTucci said. "Our team showed a lot of resiliency by battling back from behind. We still have a long MAC season ahead of us, but this is a great way to start things off."
