MOUNT PLEASANT A strong night behind the service line led the
CMU (16-8 overall, 6-5 MAC) tallied 14 aces in the match, which tied a season-high. Alexis Lonneman led the way with a career-best four aces while six other Chippewas tallied at least one ace.

On offense CMU had a solid night with 47 kills and a .288 hitting percentage. A trio of Chippewas led the way as Whitney Evers, Alison Baker and Kate Fissel all tallied 10 apiece. Evers also hit a team-high .500 while Fissel tallied a mark of .427. Ochmanek just missed a double-double with nine kills and a .389 attacking percentage while Courtney Kersten added 37 assists.
For the Zips, Brittany Fox tallied a team-high nine kills, hitting a squad-best .286 in the match. Elizabeth Martin and Kim Horn both recorded a team-high eight digs for
CMU dominated the team stats with more kills (47-28), digs (42-41), blocks (8.0-2.0), service aces (14-8) and a better attacking percentage (.288-.117).
