MAC Volleyball Coaches Poll Released

MOUNT PLEASANT – The Mid-American Conference volleyball preseason coaches poll was announced this week with 15th-ranked Ohio picked to repeat as the regular season and tournament champion.

Central Michigan University’s squad was selected to finish sixth in the West Division.

Ohio (East) and Ball State (West) were picked to win its respective division. Following BSU in the West were Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Toledo and CMU. After Ohio in the East were Miami, Bowling Green, Kent State, Akron and Buffalo.

The Chippewas open the regular season with the Super 8 Chippewa Classic this Friday and Saturday, August 25-26. CMU opens with Indiana State on Friday at 7 p.m. with Wisconsin-Green Bay (1 p.m.) and Idaho State (7 p.m.) on the docket on Saturday.
