The Central Michigan University Chippewas (7-9, 2-2 Mid-American) open a three-game homestand on Friday, Jan. 19, after beginning Mid-American Conference play with three of their first four on the road. The Chippewas welcome the Ball State Cardinals (5-12, 1-3 Mid-American) and rookie head coach Ronny Thompson to Rose Arena. Thompson is the son of former legendary coach John Thompson.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m., and the game will air throughout central and northern Michigan on the CMU Public Broadcasting Network.
CMU fell at rival Western Michigan on Tuesday while the Cardinals picked up a home victory over Northern Illinois.
Junior Giordan Watson is just 24 points shy of joining CMU's 1,000-point club.
