Sporting News Compliments Chippewa Hoops

MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University’s men’s basketball program received many mentions in the Sporting News’ 2007-08 College Basketball Preview Magazine.
CMU was picked to win the Mid-American Conference West Division and the Chippewas’ recruiting class was tabbed the best in the MAC.
Several individuals were also highlighted in the conference ranking section. Second-year coach Ernie Zeigler was tabbed the best recruiter, junior Nate Minnoy the best transfer and Giordan Watson a preseason All-MAC selection.
The Chippewas are hosting a Fright Night event on Halloween (Oct. 31) beginning at 8:15 p.m. There will be trick-or-treating, contests and giveaways hosted by the CMU men’s and women’s players and coaches.
