Men's Basketball vs. Akron: Game Notes

The Central Michigan University Chippewas (7-10, 2-3 Mid-American) host Mid-American Conference co-leader Akron (14-4, 4-1 Mid-American) on Saturday, Jan. 26. Tipoff in Rose Arena is set for 2:30 p.m., following the CMU women's game against Ohio which begins at noon. Both games will be televised live on Comcast Local and Fox Sports Net Ohio.

The Chippewas have won four straight home games and are faced with the task of stopping the league's highest scoring offense. The Zips average a league-high 73.8 points per game. CMU might not have a problem keeping up as the Chippewas rank second with 70.8 points per game.

Akron has won seven straight in the series, including eliminating CMU from last year's MAC Tournament in Cleveland, 82-53.
