Krupsky Earns CMU's Third Straight Weekly MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Junior outside hitter Lauren Krupsky was named Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Krupsky led the Central Michigan volleyball team to a pair of home MAC wins last week, tallying 34 kills (4.25/set) and four aces (0.5/set) along with six digs (0.75) and a block.
The Livonia, Mich., native put up a career-high 19 kills in a dramatic comeback win against the Cardinals on Friday, guiding the Chippewas from behind after falling down 2-0 for the 3-2 win. She followed it up with a 15-kill effort against Toledo in a sweep of the Rockets.
She added two aces in each match, and her difficult jump serve led directly to several other CMU tallies. Krupsky ended up with 38.5 points on the week to pace the Chippewas.
CMU returns to the road this week to face West Division rivals Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.
It is the first weekly MAC award of Krupsky’s career, and third for CMU this season.
