Postgame notes versus Miami

The Chippewas saw a four-game home conference winning streak snapped.
Sophomore guard John Morris registered a career-high 10 minutes off the bench. He entered the night having played 17 minutes in his career.
Thomas hit a career-best seven three-point field goals en route to his fourth 20-point game of the season. One more trey would have placed him in a tie for fifth among CMU's single-game leaders.
Central's eight three pointers were the most since they hit nine in the season opener.
Trey Zeigler scored eight straight CMU points in the second half, hitting four consecutive field goals to convert a six-point deficit at 7:04 into a tie ball game at 5:13. His 17 points marked his 10th consecutive game in double-figures.
Miami registered a 46-24 advantage in points in the paint. The Redhawks shot 63.6 percent from the floor, the highest of any CMU opponent this year, including 73.7 percent in the second half.
A player other than Trey Zeigler led the Chippewas in scoring for the first time in eight games.
