Derek Jackson hit four of his first five field goal attempts, including each of his first three, scoring nine points in the first seven minutes and leading all scorers with 13 by halftime.

William McClure blocked three shots to bring his total to 10 in the last four games. His season total of 33 leads the team.

Ball State's 19 first-half points are the fewest allowed by CMU this season. The Cardinals' 46 second-half points are just one shy of the most allowed by the Chippewas.

Tonight's attendance of 3,816 marked the second of the last three home games to surpass 3,500.

The 2001 MAC Championship team was honored at halftime. Many players and staff, including head coach Jay Smith, returned to campus for the 10th anniversary and reunion celebration.
