• After combining to go 1-for-5 from the arc against Bowling Green, Jackson and Austin McBroom teamed up to make 7-of-15 3-point attempts against the Zips.
• CMU has dropped five straight meetings against the Zips.
• Central is averaging 20 offensive rebounds in the last two games.
• CMU used a new starting lineup of Jorddan Myrick, Derek Jackson, Trey Zeigler, Andre Coimbra and Jevon Harden.
• Jorddan Myrick's start was the first of his career.
• Two regular starters, Austin McBroom and Olivier Mbaigoto, each did not start for the first time this season. The longest active starting streak now belongs to Trey Zeigler with nine.
• CMU has committed fewer turnovers than the opponent in six of its seven MAC games.
• Jackson is the fourth different CMU player to score 20 or more points in a game this season - Trey Zeigler (five times), Andre Coimbra (twice), Olivier Mbaigoto (once) and Derek Jackson (once).
• Akron had four different extended runs against CMU - 7-0, 9-0, 7-0 and 8-0.
• During CMU's current five-game skid, the Chippewas have not shot better than 37 percent from the floor in a game.
• Akron made more free throws (22) than CMU attempted (13).
