Additional Postgame Quotes
Head Coach Ernie Zeigler on getting past the team's three-game losing streak:
"The first thing we told the team was that the first part of the season was over. We knew that we had played pretty good basketball, even though we only won one out of seven, other than the Wright State game. We took four days off and came back and I told these guys, 'It’s about you challenging yourself and giving your best effort every day.'"
"We looked at the schedule and knew tonight was an important game. Even though we play 16 league games so the first isn’t usually that important, this was a huge game for us. We knew we had four of our first six league games on the road, so in order to get off to a good start we had to have a sense of purpose and determination like we did tonight. Defensively our pressure was consistent and that put us in a position to make shots."
Sophomore guard Trey Zeigler on getting past the team's three-game losing streak:
"We had a long time since our last game and we worked hard during that time off to stay focused. We knew that we had to have a whole attitude change to turn our season around. Over break we reflected on the first part of the season and what we needed to change to move forward."
