MOUNT PLEASANT — Central Michigan volleyball associate head coach Dave Zelenock has been named the new head coach at Tennessee Tech.
Zelenock helped reshape the landscape of Chippewas volleyball during his six seasons, joining the program as an assistant coach in 2007 before being named associate head coach in 2009.
A 2005 CMU alumni, Zelenock served as the program's recruiting coordinator and helped secure five straight nationally ranked recruiting classes.
"We are extremely excited for Dave and his family," head coach Erik Olson said. "Dave's goals were to become a head coach, and I am very pleased to see him get this opportunity. Dave has been a very big contributor to our program's success, and I am glad to see his hard work pay off. He will be missed, and we wish him all the success in his next adventure."
