Randall Earns Roster Spot on Sacramento Kings Summer League Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Former Central Michigan guard Kyle Randall has secured a roster spot on the NBA’s Sacramento Kings’ Summer League team. He will take part in a mini-camp beginning July 8-12 in Las Vegas prior to competing in the 2013 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 12-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion.
In his only season with the Central Michigan, Randall put together one of the all-time great seasons in program history, ranking among the top Chippewas in scoring, three-point field goals and free throws.
Randall was the Mid-American Conference's leading scorer at 18.3 points per game and was voted to the All-MAC and to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District Second Teams. He also ranked among the league leaders in assists (12th), free throw percentage (2nd), three-point field goals (7th) and minutes played (2nd).
The 2013 NBA Summer League will feature the debut of a tournament style schedule that will crown the first ever NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 22. The 22 teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 12-16 before being seeded in a tournament running through the championship game on July 22. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games, with seeds 1-10 earning a bye in the first round games played on Wednesday, July 17.
