MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Fans of Central Michigan women's basketball can get their first look at the 2014-15 Chippewas Sunday when the team tips it up in its annual Maroon and Gold Scrimmage at McGuirk Arena.
Coach Sue Guevara's roster will be divided in half and will square off in a 40-minute game comprising 10-minute increments. Admission is free. The game begins at 1 p.m.
Several former CMU players are scheduled to join the scrimmage. Among those expected to participate are Brandie Baker, NIki DiGuilio, Angel Chan, Shonda Long and Britni (Houghton) Hernandez.
CMU returns four starters from last year's team, which finished 20-12, finished first in the Mid-American Conference West Division, and advanced to the Women's NIT.
The Chippewas open the 2014-15 season at home on Thursday, Nov. 16, against UMass.
