MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Kaitlyn McIntyre was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Volleyball First Team.
It is the third time that McIntyre, a senior from Beaver Dam, Wis., has earned first team all-conference honors.
She is just the third student-athlete in CMU history to earn first team all-conference volleyball honors three times. Terri Phillion was the first to accomplish the feat in 1980-82, and Kaitlyn Schultz was a first teamer in 2008 and 2010-11.
McIntyre, an exercise science major with a 3.9 grade point average, led CMU this season in kills (327), kills per set (3.14), total attacks (917), total receptions (684), and points per set (3.58).
She was also among the team leaders in service aces (third with 19), digs (third with 262) and digs per set (2.52).
McIntyre closes her career second in CMU history in career kills (1,521) and attacks (4,002), third in sets played (433), and fifth in digs (998).
