CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Former Central Michigan student-athlete Cory DeLamielleure was inducted into the Catholic High School League Hall of Fame during a ceremony last week at Fern Hill Country Club.
DeLamielleure, one of the best catchers in the history of CMU softball, played four years of softball at Regina High School in Warren, graduating in 2010.
A four-year starter at catcher at Regina, DeLamielleure helped lead the Saddlelites to four Division I district championships and the 2007 state title.
DeLamielleure was twice named a First Team All-Stater by the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association, twice was an All-State honorable mention, and three times was named All-Catholic.
DeLamielleure, who hails from St. Clair Shores, finished her CMU career with 19 home runs, tied for second on CMU's all-time list.
In 2014, her senior season, she hit eight homers, the seventh-highest total for a single season in CMU history, and 14 doubles, a total that ties her for fifth on the single-season list.
DeLamielleure earned First Team All-Mid-American Conference honors in 2014 and was named to the Second Team in 2013. She earned a spot on the MAC All-Tournament Team in both seasons.
