Rawls' Seahawks top Brown's Steelers

A look at how Central Michigan alums playing in the NFL fared over the weekend.
• Running back Thomas Rawls rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Seattle Seahawks' 39-30 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rawls carried 21 times in raising his season rushing total to 685 yards, which ranks 10th in the league and second among rookies. He is averaging 5.6 yards per carry, which also ranks second among rookies.
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown caught six passes for 51 yards. Brown has caught 85 passes for 1,192 yards and five touchdowns on the season.
He ranks second in the league in both catches and receiving yardage.
• Joe Staley drew his 125th consecutive start at offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers in their 19-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Staley is the 49ers' nominee for the second annual Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, which recognizes players who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship on the field.
Staley, who is in his ninth year in the league, is a three-time All-Pro selection and four-time Pro Bowler.
The winner will be determined in a vote of NFL players. The winner will be announced on Feb. 6, on the eve of Super Bowl 50.
• Offensive tackle Eric Fisher made his ninth consecutive start for the Kansas City Chiefs in their 30-22 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Frank Zombo made three tackles and assisted on another for the Chiefs.
• Safety Jahleel Addae was credited with five tackles in the San Diego Chargers' 31-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
• Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins made one solo tackle and assisted on two others for the New York Giants in a 20-14 loss to the Washington Redskins.
