The 2015 MAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Tournaments begin next week and Central Michigan Athletics is offering a special deal to season ticket holders.
CMU is offering a limited allotment of complimentary tickets as a thank you to season ticket holders for all men's and women's games in Cleveland. Season ticket holders qualify for one free ticket for each men's or women's season ticket they currently hold. Requests must be made by Friday, March 6 and can be made in the following ways: visiting Ticket Central during normal operating hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.); calling 1-888-FIRE-UP2; or emailing your request to ticketcentral@cmich.edu.
These complimentary tickets will be available for each round in which CMU competes and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that this allotment is exhausted, tickets will be available for purchase for $34 per game.
All ticket orders will be available for pick up at Quicken Loans Arena Will Call at the CMU table in the Arcade Entrance prior to the CMU game.
Men's Basketball Tournament
CMU's Men's Basketball team has locked up at least a top-three seed in the tournament, so the earliest they will play is Thursday evening, March 12, in Quicken Loans Arena. If the Chippewas are a top-two seed, they will advance to the semifinals and play Friday evening in Cleveland. Final seeding will be announced after CMU's game at Western Michigan this Friday, March 6.
General public and student tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 9. General public tickets are $34 per game and CMU is offering 100 student tickets per game at the discounted rate of $10. Tickets can be purchased by visiting cmuchippewas.com, by visiting ticket Central during normal operating hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.) or by calling 1-888-FIREUP-2.
Seating assignments will be made based on Chippewa Club membership level. Fans are not guaranteed the same seat for every game if CMU advances.
Women's Basketball Tournament
Women's Basketball will begin its tournament run on Monday, March 9, with a first- round game. The Chippewas will be the No. 9-seed in the tournament and start on the road. If CMU wins its first round contest, the Chippewas will advance to play in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon, March 11.
If CMU hosts a first-round game, tickets will be $10 for reserved tickets, $7 for general admission and students will get in free. If CMU advances to Cleveland, fans can purchase tickets at Quicken Loans arena.
