Chippewas Earn Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Fifteen Central Michigan track and field student-athletes were named Academic All-Mid-American Conference by the league on Monday.
The Chippewas, with their respective year and grade point average: Dylan Banagis, sophomore, entrepreneurship, 3.88; Monte Scott, junior, biology, 3.77; Casey Voisin, sophomore, social studies, 3.77; Esther Bell, sophomore, psychology, 3.68; Michaela Bundy, sophomore, physical education, 3.74; Kylee Dobbelaere, sophomore, sport management, 3.37; Bridget Doughty, senior, language arts, 3.85; Emma Fishnick, senior, psychology, 3.75; Diamond Hamilton, senior, psychology, 3.40; Abbey Kelto, senior, exercise science/kinesiology, 3.73; Alexandra Mielke, junior, sport management, 3.41; Kelsey Ross, sophomore, undecided, 3.33; Kelly Schubert, junior, exercise science/kinesiology, 3.93; Kyla Walworth, junior, biochemistry, 3.58; Katelyn Weiler, sophomore, undecided, 3.71.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.2 grade point average and participate in at least 50 percent of his or her team's contests.
