Hudson Leads Chippewas in 70-50 Victory

TORONTO - Central Michigan women's basketball improved to 2-0 during its Canadian summer tour with a 70-50 win over Humber College.
Freshman Presley Hudson led the way for the Chippewas scoring 20 points, with 15 of them coming from beyond the arc. The Wayland, Mich. native recorded her second-straight double-digit performance, scoring 14 points in Saturday's game against the Ontario Crown.
Cassandra Breen also scored in double-digits, adding 18 points for the Maroon and Gold. The sophomore had three triples, all of which came in the first half. In regular season play, Breen scored a career-high 16 points (twice) last season.
Central Michigan never trailed the Hawks and went into halftime with a 37-31 lead.
The Humber Hawks are the reigning OCAA Provincial Women's Champions and were led by guard Ceejay Nofuente who scored 31 of the Hawks' 50 points.
The Chippewas NCAA exhibition series concludes Monday with the final game against Ryerson College at 8 p.m.
