
Frost Earns MAC West Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Reyna Frost was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women's basketball.
Frost, a 6-foot sophomore forward, hauled down a career-high 21 rebounds including seven on the offensive end in helping lead the Chippewas to an 82-51 victory over Illinois on Dec. 21. It was CMU's first victory over a Big Ten opponent since Dec. 2011.
The 21 rebounds ties Frost for third most in a single game by a Chippewa in program history. She also scored seven points.
Frost leads the Mid-American Conference and ranks eighth nationally with 11.6 rebounds per game. She has 128 total rebounds on the season, which leads the MAC and ranks 12th nationally.
The Chippewas (8-3) play at Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday (7 p.m.). It is CMU's final nonconference game of the season. The Chippewas open MAC play on Saturday, Dec. 31, at Kent State.
