"The spring schedule we've put together was designed to challenge us and push us beyond our comfort zone by combining Big Ten, MAC, Horizon League, and top Division II opponents," Gawlik said. "It was our goal to schedule some of the elite teams in the region to get a benchmark of where we are and where we need to be headed in the future. The tournament-style events will provide our team and staff plenty of match opportunities to see each player compete as well as tweak line-up options."
CMU starts with a home practice and match against Ferris State on March 25 beginning at 3 p.m. The event is open to the public and free. Central Michigan heads to a tournament hosted by Oakland on April 2. Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan are also taking part.
The Chippewas travel to Michigan on April 9 for a tournament against UM, Toledo, Oakland, Northern Michigan and Cleveland State. CMU wraps up the spring at Michigan State on April 16 versus MSU, Wright State, Toledo, BGSU, Ferris State, Grand Valley and Findlay.
