BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Central Michigan volleyball team dropped a three-setter to Bowling Green on Saturday at the Falcons' Stroh Center.
The Chippewas (10-10, 2-6 MAC) are scheduled to entertain Buffalo on Friday (7 p.m.). The Bulls are 11-9, 4-4 MAC after weekend wins over Northern Illinois, 3-0; and Western Michigan, 3-1
CMU, which dropped at four-setter on Friday at Miami (Ohio), fell to Bowling Green, 25-16, 25-16, 25-10.
"I don't think tonight went good at all," CMU coach Mike Gawlik said. "You see the results from set one and from there it snowballed. We really need to step up and get back to getting better. I think we've lost sight of that a little bit."
Senior Jordan Bueter led the Chippewas in kills with seven and Lyza Myers added five. Megan Kern and Emily Wenglikowski tallied 11 digs apiece and Bueter had eight.
Setter Grace Butler had 25 assists for Central Michigan.
Jessi Holly totaled 10 kills to lead Bowling Green (11-8, 7-1). Paulina Iacobelli had 13 digs and five aces.
The Falcons recorded 16 team blocks against the Chippewas' three.
"We have to pay attention to the little things," Gawlik said. "At the end of the day, we had two road losses (this weekend). There's still a lot of the season left, but we need to work on making some changes to get better."
