SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan volleyball team will play host to two Mid-American Conference opponents this weekend. CMU entertains Buffalo (11-8, 4-4 MAC) on Friday (7 p.m.) and then welcomes in Akron (6-14, 2-6) on Saturday (7 p.m.).
LAST WEEKEND
• The Chippewas (10-10, 2-6) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after falling last weekend to Miami (Ohio), 3-1, and to Bowling Green, 3-0, both on the road.
CMU LEADERS
• Senior Jordan Bueter leads the MAC with 302 kills and ranks third in aces with 26.
• Freshman setter Grace Butler ranks third in the league with 727 assists, and the Chippwas are third in assists (897).
SCOUTING
• Buffalo is 11-8, 4-4 MAC following victories last weekend over Northern Illinois, 3-0; and Western Michigan, 3-1.
• Polina Prokudina leads the Bulls with 278 kills; Larra Bickelhaupt has recorded a team-high 274 digs.
• Akron (6-14, 2-6) has lost its last five games, including two last weekend to Western Michigan, 3-1; and to Northern Illinois, 3-2.
• Kayla Gwozdz leads the Zips with 273 kills.

• Central Michigan will hit the road next weekend for two MAC contests against Ball State and Toledo.
