SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan volleyball team is scheduled to play two Mid-American Conference games on the road this weekend, the first against Ball State on Friday (7 p.m.) and the second at Toledo on Saturday (5 p.m.).
LAST WEEKEND
The Chippewas split two home three-set matches. They defeated Akron and fell to Buffalo.
CHIPPEWA LEADERS
• Senior Jordan Bueter leads the MAC in kills with 326 and kills per set (4.13). She ranks fourth with 32 aces and third with 0.41 per set.
• Setter Grace Butler has recorded 781 assists, ranking her fourth in the conference.
• Megan Kern leads the Central Michigan defense, tallying 296 digs.
SCOUTING
• Ball State is 14-9, 6-4 MAC. The Cardinals recorded a three-set victory earlier this season at McGuirk Arena.
• Brooklyn Goodsel leads Ball State with 243 kills.
• Amber Seaman has 872 assists for the Cardinals, averaging 10.77 per set, which is tied for the league lead. She ranks fifth in the conference with 0.35 aces per set.
• Toledo is 10-12, 5-5 MAC after dropped its matches against Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green last weekend.
• Central Michigan defeated the Rockets in five sets to open their conference season at home.
• Thomas Saige has 234 kills to lead Toledo.
NEXT
CMU will return home to face Northern Illinois in a MAC match on Nov. 3. They entertain rival Western Michigan the following night. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
