
Track & Field Unveils 2017-18 Schedule

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan indoor track & field season begins with the SVSU Holiday Open at Saginaw Valley State on Dec. 1-2.
The program recently released its schedule. which includes the CMU Jack Skoog Triangular on Jan. 12 and a return trips to University Center to take part in the SVSU Doug Hansen Open on Jan. 19 and the SVSU Jet’s Pizza Invitational on Jan. 26-27.
In the run up to the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships, the Chippewas are scheduled to partake in the Akron Invitational, Feb. 2-3; the Grand Valley State Big Meet, Feb. 9-10; and the Michigan Silverston Invitational on Feb. 16.
The MAC Indoor Championships are scheduled for Feb. 23-24 at Bowling Green State. The NCAA Indoor Championships are slated for Texas A&M, March 9-10.
The Chippewas’ outdoor season commences at the UC Riverside Combined Events March 22-23. The spring schedule includes the North Carolina State Raleigh Relays, March 30-31; the MSU Spartan Invite, April 6-7; and the Ole Miss Joe Walker Invite, April 13-14.
The Chippewas are also tentatively scheduled to compete in the the Oakland University Golden Grizzly Invite in April.
The April slate is a busy one with the Virginia Challenge, the Ohio State Jesse Owens Classic, the Hillsdale Gina Relays, and the Ashland Alumni Open on the docket along with Louisville Lenny Lyles/Clarkwood Invitational.
The final regular-season event is the May 3-4 Toledo Invitational. The MAC Outdoor Championships are slated for May 10-12 at Buffalo, the NCAA Outdoor Championship First Round is scheduled for Tampa, Fla., May 24-26. The NCAA Outdoor Championships are June 6-9 in Eugene, Ore.
