Six Chippewas Earn Academic All-MAC Honors in Volleyball

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Six Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference volleyball team.
Three Chippewas, Paige Carey, a law and economics major with a 3.70 grade point average, Courtney Hiltibran, a broadcasting and cinematic arts major with a 3.45 GPA, and Taylor Robertson, a master's of science in exercise physiology graduate student with a 3.30 GPA, earned the honor for the third time in their respective careers.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must carry a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
One other Chippewa was named for the second consecutive year. Junior Emily Wenglikowski, a marketing/professional sales major with a 3.51 GPA.
Other CMU student-athletes who were named to the academic honor squad for the first time: Megan Kern, a biology/pre-med major with a 4.00 GPA, and Jayla Wesley, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.85 GPA.
