• The Central Michigan women's lacrosse team will entertain Gardner-Webb on Tuesday in a nonconference game.
• The Chippewas are coming off a 15-4 loss at Cincinnati.
• Freshman Emma Hamilton scored two goals to lead CMU against Cincinnati. Riley Huda and Anna Schoonover also scored for CMU.
• Schoonover and Shannon Doyle share the CMU team lead with eight goals apiece. Huda has six goals and six assists for a team-high 12 points.
• Gardner-Webb, which plays in the Big South Conference, is coming off a 22-11 loss to Long Island-Brooklyn.
• The Chippewas and Bulldogs have two common opponents, St. Francis (Pa.) and Virginia Commonwealth. CMU defeated St. Francis, 20-10, in its season-opener, and fell at VCU, 15-9, last week. Gardner-Webb lost to St. Francis, 19-3, and to VCU, 19-7.
• Amanda Steinmuller leads the Bulldogs with 27 goals and 35 points; Cassidy McDowell has scored 16 goals and has totaled 18 points.
• Next for CMU: The Chippewas are scheduled to play their final nonconference game at Butler on Thursday, March 16 (4 p.m.). CMU's Atlantic Sun Conference opener is slated for March 24 at home against Mercer.
