Single-game tickets for the 2017 Central Michigan football season are on sale for a home schedule that includes three Mid-American Conference teams that went to bowl games last season.
The Chippewas open the season at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Aug. 31 against Rhode Island in a 7 p.m. game. They face Mid-American Conference rival Miami on Saturday, Sept. 23 and celebrate homecoming Oct. 14 against Toledo in a 3:30 p.m. game. Homecoming festivities will celebrate CMU's 125th anniversary.
In November, CMU plays host to Eastern Michigan on Nov. 8 and Northern Illinois on Nov. 24. Miami, Toledo and Eastern Michigan all reached bowl games last season, as did CMU.
Single-game game tickets purchased in advance cost $22 for adults, $15 for youths/seniors. General admission seating is $12. Group pricing - for a purchase of 10 or more tickets - is $10 per ticket. On game day, the pricing is $25 for adults, $18 for youths/seniors, $15 for general admission and $12 for group pricing.
The CMU Family Pack is back, and for $65 fans receive four reserved tickets to any of the five home games. Family Packs are only available on the day of the game.
As always, fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure a spot. Advance purchase parking is $10. Game-day parking passes are $15.
Tickets and parking permits can be purchased online at cmuchippews.com, in person at Ticket Central in the John G. Kulhavi Events Center or by calling 989-774-3045.
The first three home games will feature the Fabiano Brothers Tailgate Village and free concerts. The Fabiano Brothers Tailgate Village concert series lineup:
- Aug. 31: Jedi Mind Trip, a classic rock band.
- Sept. 23: Union Guns, an eclectic country folk group.
- Oct. 14: Paddlebots, a band known for its progressive soul-pop sound.
Concerts are free and open to all fans, and corporate Fabiano Brothers Tailgate Village tents are available by contacting Andy Cooper at 989-774-1216.
New this year is the Tailgate Village Club, a place where fans can buy memberships and enjoy food, soft drinks, cash bar and a prime concert location and reserved seats. The Tailgate Village Club will be in place for the first three home games.
