Frost Named to McClain Award Watch List

Senior remains among nations top power forwards
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Reyna Frost has been named to the preseason watch list for the Katrina McClain Award.
The award, named for the two-time All-American and 1987 national player of the year, is in its second year and recognizes the top power forward in women's college basketball. It is presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
Just 20 players nationwide are on the preseason list.
Frost last season averaged 11.9 rebounds per game, which was tops in the Mid-American Conference and 10th nationally. Her average was the fourth best for a single season by a Chippewa in program history, and she earned Second Team All-MAC honors and was named the Most Valuable Player of the MAC Tournament.
Frost enters her senior season third in program history with 1,087 career rebounds and is 27th with 1,061 points. She also ranks second in CMU history with 10.9 rebounds per game.
The winner will be revealed at the 2019 Women's Final Four in Tampa, Fla.
