SoCon Champs Add 11 Signees

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan lacrosse coach Sara Tisdale has announced the signing of 11 student-athletes who will join the program for the 2020 season.
The class demonstrates the national reach of program, as it draws players from the states of Texas, Connecticut, New York, California, Utah and Michigan. It also reflects its international appeal, as one player hails from Canada, joining three other Canadians on the CMU roster.
The Chippewas captured the Southern Conference crown a year ago in just their third season of varsity lacrosse, finishing with an 11-7 record.
"I couldn't be more excited to sign the 2019 recruiting class and officially welcome them to the Chippewa lacrosse family," said Tisdale. "Top to bottom this class represents strength on both sides of the ball paired with quality and diverse goalie play. Additionally, every member of this class is driven to succeed in the classroom and they'll help us continue living out our mission to be committed student-athletes."
Sophia Chong-Ahmed • Midfield • Houston, Texas • Mirabeau B. Lamar HS/Tenacity Elite Houston
Totaled a combined 53 draw controls, 45 goals, 20 assists, 64 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers in sophomore and junior years … won the 2018 Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League All-State title (South District, Division 1) … played club lacrosse with Tenacity Elite Houston for four years … selected to 2019 Tenacity All-American Team.
