Frost Earns MAC West Weekly Honor

Senior forward notched eighth double-double in loss to No.3 Louisville
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Reyna Frost was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women's basketball. Frost, a senior forward, turned in her eighth double-double performance season Thursday as the Chippewas fell to No.3-ranked Louisville, 72-68, at home.
Frost totaled 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting and brought down 13 boards. Frost was a perfect 2-of-2 on free throw attempts and was 2-of-8 from long distance.
The Reese, Mich., native also chipped in with two assists, two steals and a block on the night. For the season, Frost is averaging 16.6 points per game and 10.9 rebounds which ranks 27th nationally.
It marked the fifth time that Frost has earned the MAC West Player of the Week Award for her career and the second time this season.
The Chippewas, who are 8-2 and ranked fifth in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, play their final games of 2018 (Dec.29-20) at the Miami Holiday Classic in Coral Gables, Fla. CMU plays Tulane (8-3) on Saturday at 12 p.m. and host No.24 Miami (11-2) on Sunday at 4 p.m.
