
Chippewa Lacrosse Falls To La Salle

PHILADELPHIA - The Central Michigan lacrosse team fell to La Salle, 18-6, on Sunday at the Explorers' McCarthy Stadium.
CMU (1-2) entertains Butler (0-2) on Wednesday (3 p.m.) in its home opener.
The Explorers built a 9-1 lead and were up, 11-3, at halftime.
Shannon Doyle, Natalie Karlen and Tyra Prince scored two goals apiece to lead the Chippewas. Prince recorded a team-high seven shots.
Brittany Edwards scored five goals and Bridget Ruskey added four to lead La Salle (1-2).
Hope Murray started in goal for CMU, making four saves. Dominique Hamman also played in goal for the Chippewas, who were outshot, 28-16.
