Kern Earns Academic All-District Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan senior libero Megan Kern has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honors.
Kern, a LaGrange, Ill., native was among the seven athletes chosen from District V, which includes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
Kern, a Biology/Biomedical Sciences major, owns a 3.97 cumulative grade point average. She was named to the CoSida Academic All-District Second Team as a sophomore in 2017 and has twice been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team. She also earned the MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week Award twice this season.
Kern, who led the team and ranked fourth in the conference in digs per set (5.05) this season has complied 1,749 digs for her career, which ranks No.3 in program history.
All eight districts will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
