Football Adds Jespersen to 2019 Class

Central Michigan Football announced the signing of Albert Kjøller Jespersen today, a defensive lineman who is a part of the 2019 class.

Jespersen is 6-6, 270 pounds and his club team was Søllerød Gold Diggers. He is a native of Copenhagen, Denmark and attended H.C. Ørsten Gymnasium, Lyngby.

"Albert is a player who has a great combination of size and athleticism," Head Coach Jim McElwain said. "He plays with an extremely high motor and has the toughness and tenacity we pride ourselves on. We've greatly enjoyed getting to know Albert and his family throughout the recruiting process."

Jespersen played for the Danish National U19 team and was also a part of Team Nordic, which took part in the International Bowl competing against teams from around the world. Those games took place in various stadiums in Texas including AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

"We are excited to continue expanding the reach of Central Michigan Football to a global audience," said McElwain. "The growth of football in countries around the world has been incredible and continuing to increase the number of opportunities for foreign-born players to play college football is great for our sport."

Jespersen's parents are Morten Jespersen and Charlotte Kjøller.
