MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan lacrosse coach Sara Tisdale announced today that Emily Boerger has joined the Chippewa staff as a volunteer assistant.
Boerger served as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Merrimack (Mass.) College from 2016-19, where she helped lead the Warriors to their first Northeast 10 Tournament championship and a top-25 national ranking by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
She will work primarily with the offense.
"I am thrilled to add Emily to staff," said Tisdale, who is in her fifth year in charge of the program. "Emily's passion for helping student athletes grow and thrive on and off the field will have an immediate impact in our program."
Boerger served as an assistant coach at Findlay in 2015-16, helping lead the Oilers to a program record for victories in a season and its first appearance in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship game.
Boerger, who served as a volunteer assistant at Ohio State, was a multi-sport athlete at Urbana (Ohio), competing in lacrosse and basketball. She was a two-time captain of the Blue Knights' lacrosse team and earned All-GLIAC honors as a senior in 2013.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in exercise science from Urbana in 2013.
