Lewis Earns Spot On Hornung Honor Roll

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Kobe Lewis was named to the weekly Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for his performance last week in the Chippewas' 31-23 victory at Eastern Michigan

Lewis, a junior running back from Americus, Ga, ran for 108 yards on 18 carries, caught seven passes for 36 yards, and returned two kickoffs for 48 yards in spearheading a rally that saw CMU score 25 fourth-quarter points and overcome a 20-6 deficit.

Lewis was one of six offensive players/return specialists named to the honor roll this week and he joins teammate Kalil Pimpleton as a 2020 Hornung honoree. Pimpleton was so honored a week ago after his performance against Western Michigan.

The Hornung Award goes annually to the most versatile player in major college football. It is administered by the Louisville Sports Commission.
