Hart Earns Weekly MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Brianna Hart was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week for lacrosse for her performances last week in games at Marquette and at home against Detroit Mercy.
Against Marquette, Hart, a senior from South Bend, Ind., played sideline-to-sideline and end-to-end, collecting four grounds balls and one draw control.
Against the Titans, Hart helped CMU claim its first MAC win and its first program victory against its in-state foe. She spearheaded a defensive effort that held UDM to just two goals in each half and 12 total shots. Hart caused three turnovers, collected four ground balls, and had one draw control.
Hart ranks second on the team with 12 caused turnovers, 21 ground balls, and 12 draw controls.
