MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan women's basketball coach Heather Oesterle has announced the signing of three incoming freshman to complete the 2021 class.
The trio – Karrington Gordon of Detroit, Lisa Tesson of Montreal, and Rebekah Gordon of New Boston, Ind. – brings to five the number of student-athletes who will join Oesterle's program in the fall.
Tiana Timpe of Stockton, Ill. and Hanna Knoll of Angola, Ind. signed with CMU in November. The five are the newest members of a program that has won a combined six Mid-American Conference titles – four regular season, two tournament – since 2017 and has earned an NCAA Tournament berth in three of the last four years.
"They can run, they can shoot, they're athletic – very, very skilled," Oesterle said of Tesson and the two Gordons. "They have the ability to get to the basket, can shoot the 3. We have a post player who can step outside in Rebekah Gordon; Tesson is a very, very quick point guard with speed and who sees the floor really well; and Karrington Gordan is very athletic. She can dunk a tennis ball.
