Nine CMU Volleyball Student-Athletes Earn MAC Academic Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan placed nine student-athletes on the fall, 2021 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for volleyball.
Those nine Chippewas, with their hometown, year, major and grade point average:
Kendall Braate, Byron Center, senior, neuroscience, 3.81; Anna Erickson, Hopkins, Minn., junior, exercise science, 3.65; Sierra Gray, Lexington, Ky., senior, history, 3.44; Lacey Juengel, Macomb, junior, health & physical education, 3.42; Elly Medendorp, Alto, sophomore, entrepreneurship, 3.70; Kamryn Olson, Lasalle, Ill., sophomore, sport management, 3.26; Lisbeth Rosario-Martinez, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, graduate student, 3.60; Megan Sivertsen, Virginia Beach, Va., senior, dietetics, 3.20; Savannah Thompson, senior, sport management, 3.34.
It marks the third consecutive season that Braate and Thompson have earned Academic All-MAC recognition. Sivertsen, Erickson, Gray, Juengel and Rosario-Martinez were each named to the squad for the second time.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have at GPA of 3.2 or better and have participated in at least 50 percent of her team's matches. True freshmen and transfers in their first year are ineligible.
