MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – A busy week is on tap for Central Michigan Athletics beginning on Wednesday when the women's basketball team hits the road for a Mid-American Conference game at Bowling Green.
The CMU men's basketball team is set to entertain rival Western Michigan at McGuirk Arena on Thursday, Jan. 20. The Chippewas' game at Buffalo, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 18, has been postponed.
On Friday, the CMU gymnastics and wrestling teams are scheduled to compete on Friday in MAC duals, both on the road.
The Chippewa wrestlers, who on Sunday went 3-0 to win the Chippewa Challenge, are slated to wrestle at Northern Illinois beginning at 7 p.m. The CMU gymnasts are set to square off at Bowling Green with a 6 p.m. start.
On Saturday, Jan. 22, three CMU teams are scheduled to be in action. The Chippewa track & field squad is slated to compete in the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor while the Chippewa basketball teams are set to square off with Ball State in a pair of MAC contests.
The Chippewa women go to Ball State for a 1 p.m. tipoff; the CMU men are slated to entertain the Cardinals at McGuirk Arena with a 7 p.m. start.
On Sunday, Jan. 23, the CMU wrestling team goes to SIU Edwardsville for a tri-meet with the host Cougars and South Dakota State. The Chippewas and Cougars meet in a MAC dual at 12 p.m. (ET) and then CMU and South Dakota State wrestle in a nonleaguer at 4 p.m. (ET).
