Kevin Miller Earns Preseason All-MAC Honors

Sophomore garners preseason Second Team All-MAC honors in vote of league coaches.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Central Michigan sophomore guard Kevin Miller was named to the preseason All-Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball team, the league announced earlier this week. The MAC preseason poll and preseason all-league teams are voted upon by the conference's 12 head coaches.
An All-MAC honorable mention selection and MAC All-Freshman team honoree as a freshman in 2021-22, Miller was named to the preseason All-MAC Second Team. Last year in his first collegiate season, Miller led the Chippewas in scoring (13.1 points per game), assists (139), steals (34), and minutes per game (32.9). He also averaged 15.2 points per game in MAC contests.
The 6-foot guard from Chicago led the conference (league games only) in assists per game (5.4) and minutes played per game (37.6), ranked ninth in assist:turnover ratio (1.8), 12th in scoring (15.2), 15th in 3-point field goal percentage, and 16th in steals (1.2).
CMU opens its competition schedule with an exhibition game against Northwood on Thursday, Nov. 3 (7 p.m.). The Chippewas open their regular season at Marquette on Thursday, Nov. 10 in Milwaukee and play their home opener on Nov. 13 vs. Eastern Illinois (2 p.m.).
CMU was picked to finish 10th in the league's preseason poll.
